Mayor's Award for CAF Chair

A VIP gala event in London's Living Room at City Hall launched the new Team London programme. The event was attended by Peter Andre, Samantha Cameron, Barbara Windsor and virtual guest Mayor Mike Bloomberg of New York City. Mayor Boris Johnson personally awarded Joan with her certificate for "outstanding contribution to improving the quality of life of Londoners". One of only five people to be honoured, the certificate recognises Joan's outstanding voluntary contribution to Capital Age Festival.

Joan is a founder member of London Older People's Strategies Group and was the driving force behind the creation and growth of Capital Age Festival, which she now serves as the Chair of Directors.

We are delighted that Joan's enormous energy, enthusiasm and achievements have been recognised by the Mayor.
