Over 100 people joined Capital Age Festival in the beautiful setting of London's Living Room at City Hall, London on Monday 1st March 2010 for Capital Age Festival: The Winter Gathering 2010.
The event was generously hosted by Greater London Authority and opened by Deputy Mayor, Richard Barnes. The day featured spectacular performances from Leap of Faith, Silver Comedy & the Hoxton Singers and screenings of new film work from East End Film Festival (The VAULT project) and Entelechy Arts. All mixed in with some serious talk about how we improve art by, for & with older people.
The discussion utilised Open Space Technology to get everyone talking, a way of holding discussion groups that meant we ALL set the agenda and we ALL brought the ideas. The event was a big success and many of the ideas from the day will go forward to our next big event..... Capital Age Festival 2010!
Capital Age Festival: The Winter Gathering was supported and the Greater London Authority and LOPSG and funded with the generous support of Awards for All.
